These treatments can be curative, palliative, or aimed at facilitating healing.
OUR SERVICES
What is Interventional Pulmonology?
Interventional pulmonology is a new and advanced field that utilizes minimally invasive techniques to diagnose and treat a wide range of lung conditions. Interventional pulmonologists employ a multidisciplinary care approach to treating central airway diseases. Many serious lung conditions can be treated and cured with leading-edge treatment options and early diagnosis. An interventional pulmonologist uses therapeutic bronchoscopy and thoracoscopy techniques to analyze pathologies and provide immediate treatment for malignant and nonmalignant airway disorders.
Based on a comprehensive evaluation of each patient’s unique health circumstance, Lung Health Services provides an individualized and detailed treatment plan within 7-10 days of our consultation. We use state-of-the-art technology to identify and treat respiratory symptoms. We aim to identify, diagnose, and treat patients early to improve health outcomes and life expectancy. We work with a team of specialists to ensure you have the best possible care from diagnosis to treatment.
HOW DO WE DO IT?
Our mission at Lung Health Services is to deliver unsurpassed compassionate medical care. We operate efficiently so you don’t have to wait weeks or months to see a specialist or to begin treatment. If you are a new patient at Lung Health Services, you will begin a treatment plan within 7-10 days of our initial consultation.
Lung Health Services works closely with referring physicians to ensure that they are kept up-to-date on their patient’s situation and progress at all times. We respect the relationship that physicians have with their patients and we hope to team with you and your doctor to provide minimally invasive, out-patient care in an expedited manner that offers better health outcomes.
WHERE WE SERVE
As a fully mobilized unit, Lung Health Services can treat patients all over Pennsylvania and beyond. The goal is to bring together a multidisciplinary team to evaluate, treat and solve critical health problems regardless of healthcare affiliation.
Our mobile health unit is made up of physicians, respiratory therapists, and nurses, allowing us to provide a comprehensive interventional pulmonology program to patients in an outpatient or ambulatory setting at community hospitals. We work in the Greater Philadelphia area and throughout Pennsylvania, treating patients newly diagnosed with lung abnormalities; lung nodules or lung masses; and evaluate those who have unresolved pneumonia or a persistent cough.
